Holiday break paintfest, 2018

It is the holiday break from my day job, so I am off to the races in my painting studio! Here are a few of the works being completed during the break. It is hard when the days of my vacation just fly by, but I am fully enjoying being able to focus on just being an artist. The paintings below are part of my Glass Series, No one lives here.

And then some pieces on upcycled cardboard. It is a great time of year to take the opportunity to utilize the free materials being sent my way. The odd shapes and strangeness of the different materials takes me in new directions. Kinda mystical...

Scored this chair in our apt. building garbage room. I was looking for a new painting stool, and ended up making another art piece. Found objects are one of my biggest inspirations. Perhaps it is because it is free, so it makes it less precious to paint, just in case I make a mess!

My first visit to Art Basel, Miami

I just returned from Art Basel, Miami and I am still in awe at the amount of art I was able to view and all the gallery owners I was able to meet. Below are some of the highlights from fairs attended. Wynwood wins hands down for great art viewing on the streets. The Rubell Family Collection is always a must visit.
